Breakfast: Chai Tea and Brown Rice Dhokla with Green Cilantro-Mint Chutney
Lunch: Whole-Wheat Frankie (Roti Rolls) with Tamarind Chutney
Snack: Fresh Fruit: Apple or Grapes
Dinner: Tofu Palak Paneer with Brown Basmati Rice and Plain Roti

As well as gaining the healthful benefits from a plant based diet, the spices used in Indian food, such as turmeric, have healing properties. My personal caveat is that I don’t consume soy products, such as tofu or soy milk. I also avoid wheat products as much as I can. Otherwise, I look forward to getting real recipes for vegan versions of my Indian favorites.
