Artist Profile
Cheryl L. Hamada
I grew up on a farm 70 miles east of the City of Angels, which to me was an unfathomable distance from the ocean. I escaped the mundane by immersion in the creative stream that carried me to the oceanic worlds of the sublime. I’d always wanted to be a mystic because I loved dreaming. This dreamer was called to be an artist.
My father wanted to go to art school but instead used his talents as a farmer. He possessed a love for the land and a poetic understanding of how a seed symbolized the magical life process. My mother has always supported her children in developing their talents and manifesting their dreams. I carried forth the artist’s dream and earned a masters degree in fine art.
I have followed the life path through decades of miles on the winding highway of dreams. I left the heat of the desert to live by the edge of the mystical ocean. The land is deeply embedded in me as is the luminous sea. I am here to see the invisible realm of creative spirit and reveal it to the world.
